Our Story

Started in 1982, Live Oaks Community was a dream that developed into a Retirement Community where residents living in Live Oaks Community enjoy its' southern culture in the Hammock Coastal Region of South Carolina in Murrells Inlet.

We are close to everyday conveniences and necessities.  Grocery stores, Pharmacies, Auto Service Centers and Hospitals are just minutes away.

This age-restricted senior community is also just a short drive away from the ocean and beaches, as well as plenty of shopping, attractions and restaurants all throughout the Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach areas.

 

Volunteer Leadership

A volunteer Member Board of Directors for the Live Oaks Community Home Owners Association assures you have a voice in the community, with low HOA Dues and Fees, where you own your home and your property (not a leased lot). 

 

We rely on Volunteers pitching in to keep our Community running smoothly.

If you're thinking about becoming a member of our community, know that we are a friendly - caring - proud - considerate group of individual home owners who come together to make a community work.

We are Seniors.  We love to have our children and grandchildren visit but no children under the age of 19 live in our community full time.

We watch out for each other.  Neighborhood Watch is our Motto.

We are proud of our homes and do our best to keep them looking nice and neat.

We are considerate of each others' individuality and privacy while making sure everyone is included.
